Getting started
LovePort is a private space for two. Here is the short version of coming aboard:
- Create your voyage. Open the app, give your voyage a name, and pick a check-in time. No email or password is required. Sign in with Apple is optional and only used to keep your voyage safe across devices.
- Invite your partner. Share the invite link the app gives you. Once they join, your boat holds both of you.
- Answer tonight's question. Each day you get one shared question. Answer it, and your partner's answer opens up.
You can explore on your own before your partner joins. The daily question, your private journal, the voyage map, and the end-of-day check are all there from the start.
Connecting with your partner
LovePort is built for two, so most of the warmth arrives once your partner is aboard.
- Send the invite. In the app, use the invite option to copy your link or code, then send it however you like.
- Joining. Your partner opens the link on their phone and taps to come aboard. If the link does not open the app, they can open LovePort and enter the code shown on your screen.
- One partner at a time. A voyage is for two people. If you need to start fresh with someone new, you can leave your current voyage in Settings first.
If an invite is not working, make sure you are both on the latest version of the app, and that the code has not expired. You can always generate a new invite.
Questions, decks, and journeys
- The daily question. One shared question a day. You answer first, then your partner's answer unlocks. It is meant to be quick and honest, a sentence or two.
- Deeper Questions. Themed decks you can open anytime you want to go further than the daily question. One deck is free to try; the rest come with Harbor.
- Guided Journeys. Gentle, paced arcs like Seven Nights of Reconnection. You move through them at your own pace, and finishing one leaves a port on your shared map.
Your answers to shared questions are end-to-end encrypted, which means they are sealed on your device with keys only you and your partner hold.
Notifications
LovePort uses gentle notifications for your daily check-in and for signals from your partner. If they are not arriving:
- Open the iOS Settings app, find LovePort, tap Notifications, and make sure they are allowed.
- Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing them.
- Make sure your phone has a connection when a notification is expected. If your partner just joined, give it a moment to sync.
Harbor membership
Harbor is the optional membership that opens the deeper layers of LovePort: the full library of Deeper Questions and Guided Journeys, and a private companion for gentle, personal guidance. LovePort's daily ritual stays free.
- Billing. Harbor is offered monthly or yearly. Purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your card details.
- Manage or cancel. Open Apple Account subscriptions on your device (or Settings, your name, Subscriptions) to change or cancel anytime. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Restore a purchase. If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, use the restore option on the Harbor screen to bring your membership back.
- Couple-wide. Harbor applies to your voyage, so both partners share the benefits.
If a charge looks wrong or a purchase did not unlock, write to mail@techrange.co and we will sort it out. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and we are glad to help you with the steps.
Your privacy and data
Privacy is built into LovePort, not bolted on.
- Your private journal stays on your device.
- The words you choose to share with your partner, your Talk messages, and your daily-question answers are end-to-end encrypted, so not even we can read them.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
For the full picture, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Deleting your account
You are always in control of your data. Inside the app, open Settings and choose Delete everything to remove your voyage and its data from our servers and delete your account. You can also leave a voyage without deleting your account. If you would like help, email mail@techrange.co and we will take care of it.
Troubleshooting
My partner did not receive the invite
Generate a fresh invite in the app and send it again. Make sure you are both on the latest version, and that the code has not expired.
Something is not syncing
Check your connection, then close and reopen the app to trigger a fresh sync. Shared content can take a moment to arrive after your partner acts.
I lost my journal after reinstalling
Private journal pages and your encryption keys live on your device for your privacy. If the app was removed from all of your devices, some end-to-end encrypted content cannot be recovered, because we never held the keys. Shared voyage data returns when you sign back in.
A purchase did not unlock Harbor
Use the restore option on the Harbor screen. If it still does not appear, email us with the Apple receipt and we will help.
